Data Center Water Worries

As summer grows long, so can a water drought. That has some investors worried about data centers.

Data centers, get hot. Real hot. And to keep them from over heating, hundreds of millions of gallons of water will be pumped through a data center in a year to keep the computer systems cool so they don’t over heat.

Heavy water usage like that is troubling to some investors, especially in areas that may already be prone to water shortages, mainly tech-heavy California.
